I’m delighted to announce that Bards and Sages Quarterly will be publishing my story “The Farmers” in their October 2012 issue. Hurray! It’s a fun story about the perils of being on a farm. And fairies.
In other news, my husband and I have finally settled (hopefully for good this time?) in Bethesda, Maryland, to be closer to my family. We are loving it so far. Rumor has it that Bethesda has the highest density of restaurants in the country, which I can believe. We’ve got a lot of eating to do!
The relocation has also meant that I was able to quit my long-time job at a medical translation company and focus on writing and editing full-time. I feel very lucky to have this opportunity and will endeavor to make the most of it. I’ve already joined three writing groups: one monthly in-person with some lovely ladies (one of whom I met at Boot Camp), as well as Codex Writers and Liberty Hall Writers. Lots of work ahead of me…
Until next time!
